2023 Scholarships

We are excited to announce this year’s scholarships!  This year we will be offering four $1,500 awards:

2- $1,500 Flight Training
1- $1,500 Maintenance
1- $1,500 School Tuition

You must be a member of WAI and Chicago’s Leading edge chapter by October 1, 2023.  Applications are attached and are due by October 12, 2023.  Don’t forget to check out all the scholarships offered by Women in Aviation International on their website.  You can apply for two with Chicago’s Leading edge and win one AND apply for three and win one from National as well.

2021 Scholarships – Due October 12, 2021

The deadline for 2021 scholarships has passed.

Chicago’s Leading Edge Chapter of Women in Aviation 2021 Scholarships:

  • Aviation Business Scholarship – Recipient of the award will receive $1­­500 to put toward their books and tuition pertaining to aviation business studies at a college or university for the 2020-21 year.
  • Aviation Maintenance Scholarship – Recipient of the award will receive $1,500 to put toward aviation maintenance for aircraft, engine, or avionics training.
  • Flight Training Scholarship – Recipient of the award will receive $1,500 to put toward flight training for private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine or CFI ratings.
