Join us to see an amazing motivational speaker, Jeff Miller, at our April Chapter meeting. He was a passenger on the ill-fated United 232. The crash-landing of this flight is widely regarded as one of the most amazing feats of aeronautical improvisation ever. The Schaumburg business owner walked away unscathed from the wreckage that claimed the lives of 113 other travelers 19 years ago in Sioux City, Iowa, calling it “a fresh dose of perspective.” He was seated in seat 16G on the flight from Denver to Chicago, en route to his grandfather’s funeral. The tail engine exploded in mid-flight, sending shrapnel through the tail and shredding the hydraulic and back-up hydraulic lines that control the plane. He’ll walk us through his experience and what he learned from the accident.
This is a very unique opportunity to hear about a crash from the passenger’s perspective. Join us at Lewis University in Romeoville on Tuesday, April 14th at 7pm in Harold E. White Aviation Center Room 126. Click here for directions to campus and here for a campus map.
