Our Chapter provides local networking at regularly scheduled meetings, programs that include speakers and tours of aviation facilities and landmarks, community outreach efforts to encourage young people to pursue aviation careers, and scholarship opportunities.
Step 1: Be a Current Women in Aviation International Member
To become a Member of Chicago’s Leading Edge Chapter, you must become a current Member of Women in Aviation International. Renewing your international Membership serves as a renewal of your Chapter Membership. Joining WAI will allow you to enjoy the many benefits of both our chapter and WAI with one membership fee. Step 2: Fill Out and Submit the Membership Form Below
Once you have become a member of Women in Aviation International, simply fill out the Membership form below to become a Member of the Chicago chapter of WAI, Chicago’s Leading Edge.
Step 3: Attend Our Next Wednesday Chapter Meeting
Each Wednesday at 6:30 we host a virtual Google Meet where we discuss events happening with our chapter and the greater Chicago aviation community. If you want to attend a meeting before joining our chapter, you're welcome to join!

There are many ways to get involved with our chapter—whether through membership, joining our mentorship program, volunteering at events, serving on the board, or becoming a sponsor.
Volunteer
Since 2009, volunteers have been the heart of our chapter, helping us become a leading voice for women in aviation in Chicagoland. From fundraising events and outreach programs like the Girls in Aviation Day to membership drives at air shows and career fairs, there are many ways to get involved.
