Chicago’s Leading Edge, the Chicago chapter of Women in Aviation International, is proud to host Girls in Aviation Day, an annual event designed to inspire and empower the next generation of aviation enthusiasts. Each year, we bring together young girls, industry professionals, and aviation experts for a day of hands-on activities, career exploration, and fun.
In 2023, we hosted Girls in Aviation Day at Lake in the Hills Airport in Illinois, where attendees experienced a variety of aviation-themed activities, interactive exhibits, and mentorship opportunities. From pre-flight demonstrations to career panels, our event provided a unique and immersive look into the exciting world of aviation.
