Chicago’s Leading Edge, the Chicago chapter of Women in Aviation International, is dedicated to inspiring and educating the next generation of aviation professionals through our annual Girls in Aviation Day event. Each year, we provide young girls with hands-on experiences and opportunities to explore the world of aviation.
In 2024, we hosted Girls in Aviation Day at Schaumburg Airport inside the Revv Aviation FBO hangar, offering an exciting new venue for our event. Attendees participated in interactive activities, learned from industry professionals, and explored various aviation career paths. A highlight of the day was a special appearance by Lynda Coffman, CEO of Women in Aviation International, who shared her insights and inspired the next generation of aviators.
